Documents required for bima verification
bima requires two documents: (1) a government-issued ID and (2) proof of residential address. Both must be in your name and legible. Here is what qualifies:

Indonesian KTP (National ID card)
Primary government ID. Must include full name, date of birth, address, and signature. Photo must be clear, not blurry or partially obscured. If your KTP address differs from your current address, submit both KTP and a separate proof-of-address document.

Passport or driver's license
Acceptable alternatives if KTP is not available. Passport must show signature; driver's license must be current. Photo must be clear and include all text.

Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, or government letter)
Document must show your full name, residential address, and be dated within 3 months. Examples: electricity bill from PLN, water bill from PDAM, bank statement from BCA, e-wallet, mobile banking, or local payment, or official letter from your kelurahan / municipality office.
When photographing your documents on mobile, follow these guidelines: use good lighting (natural daylight or online paymentght indoor light), hold the document flat, and ensure all text is readable. Avoid glare, shadows, and tilted angles. bima's system performs optical character recognition (OCR) on your photos, so clarity directly affects approval speed. If a photo is too dark or blurry, our team will request a clearer version—this adds 24 hours to the process.
Upload documents through the bima Account menu under "Verification" or "KYC." The mobile interface guides you step-by-step: take a photo of your ID front, take a photo of your ID back (if applicable), take a photo of your proof of address, review all three photos for clarity, and submit. Once submitted, you receive a confirmation message with a reference number. You can check your verification status anytime in the Account dashboard.

Verification timing depends on document quality and review volume. During normal business hours (9am–6pm Jakarta time, Monday–Friday), most verifications complete within 4–12 hours. During off-hours or holidays (including Idul Fitri, Idul Adha, Imlek, and Nyepi), approvals may take 24–48 hours. We do not have weekend processing, so documents submitted Friday evening process Monday morning.
Once approved, you receive a confirmation notification in the app and an email. Your account status changes to "Verified" in the Account dashboard. You can immediately withdraw via e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, or direct bank transfer to local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking. Withdrawals process according to each payment method's standard window—e-wallets typically settle within subject to verification; bank transfers within 1–3 business days.
Common verification issues and how to resolve them
- Photo too dark or blurry. Our system cannot read the text clearly. Use natural lighting (near a window) or bright indoor light. Hold the document flat and still for 2–3 seconds before taking the photo. Zoom in so the document fills most of the frame. Resubmit a clearer photo through the same verification screen.
- Name mismatch between KTP and utility bill. If your married name differs from your KTP surname, submit a copy of your marriage certificate along with both documents. If you legally changed your name, include the official name-change certificate. bima will cross-reference and approve once we confirm the legal change.
- Proof of address is too old (older than 3 months). Generate a new utility bill from PLN, PDAM, or your bank (e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment online banking can print current statements instantly). Some players in Jakarta, Surabaya, and other major cities receive bills bi-monthly or quarterly—if your most recent bill is 4 months old, request an updated bill from your provider or submit a bank statement instead.
- Verification is still pending after 48 hours. Contact bima support via the in-app Help menu or email. Provide your reference number (sent when you submitted documents). Our team can escalate manual review if your submission is stuck in the queue.
- Account rejected due to incomplete information. bima will send a specific message explaining what is missing. Common reasons: signature not visible on ID, address text cut off on utility bill, name illegible due to shadows. Resubmit the requested document with the corrected issue. You do not need to resubmit documents that already passed—only the flagged one.
Our support team handles verification inquiries in English and Indonesian during business hours. If your verification is delayed or you receive a rejection, contact us immediately through the platform. Do not assume your account is stuck—most issues resolve with a single clarifying message.
After verification, your account details are encrypted and stored securely. We do not share your documents with third parties unless legally required by Indonesian regulators. Your KTP and utility bill are used solely for compliance verification and account security—they are not sold, broadcast, or used for marketing.
